Tree Planting At Salado Park
This weekend at Salado Park near Bowie Elementary, several Troop 570 scouts participated in a tree planting project involving planting multiple trees throughout the park. The scouts had a great time and learned a lot about conservation and the principles of leave no trace, all while helping to make a difference in the community.

James Gewax and Yannik Balster Complete Their Eagle Projects
Just this year, scouts Yannik Balster and James Gewax both completed their eagle projects and became eagle scouts. Yannik’s eagle project involved building a large storage unit for the Richardson High School’s marching band. District Cubmobile Derby
Troop 570 volunteered at the District Cubmobile Derby at Flag Pole Hill on Saturday. We had fun helping the cubscouts and even got to ride the derby cars.

Troop 570 participated in the Circle Ten Council’s Fleur-de-Lis event on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Fair Park. We crushed cans to build the World’s Largest Fleur-De-Lis made from Aluminum Cans.

Duck Creek Conservation Project
Saturday September 7, 2013 During this volunteer clean up activity, we had multiple people stop and inquire about our effort, and were thankful to learn what we were doing. In fact, we had joggers, walkers, and even drivers applauded our work by saying thank you as they passed by.

National Trails Day Conservation Project
Boys in both Philmont crews spent this morning clearing trails on the Elm Fork of the Trinity River. They helped Groundwork Dallas with this great conservation project to make the Trinity River more usable.
