October 24, 2015: Indoor Rock climbing. 6 scouts made it all the way to the top of the 120′ silo!
Due to unfortunate weather our planned climbing location was canceled but thanks to the North Texas Outdoor Pursuit Center we had a fantastic climbing campout. We arrived and early in the morning and quickly got set up with harnesses, helmets, equipment, shoes, and were given and introductory to safety and technique. After that we climbed for several hours from small to medium to even over 100ft tall climbing walls until it was time for lunch. We had a relaxing lunch break, climbed for an hour and then decided to head back home. It was a tiring but extremely fun short commute campout with a pleasing number of families and scouts attending.
