Group Dynamix February 2013

FEBRUARY 15-16, 2013

Pizza, cookies, inflatables, sodas, and so much more! We had it all at Group Dynamix!

Group Dynamix began at 8:00 pm on Friday, February 15, 2013. The night began with an introduction video and a few, fun, small team building games, such as the big ball game, to loosen everyone up for the fun that approached!

We started with dodgeball. This wasn’t your typical dodgeball. No, instead, the black lights turned on and glow-in-the-dark fun began! The game proceeded for nearly 2 hours until people slowly began to tire out. Pizza and other snacks were on their way to replenish our energy, just in time for the ropes course. The ropes course involved a brief tutorial, noting there were three levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. The older boys sprinted over to the advanced area while most of the TFC’s lingered over to the beginner section. I found it quite amusing to look at people’s expression as they fell, or conquered what they had been climbing. People were then free to do what they wanted, whether it was sleep, or just continue to have a blast. Scouts could watch the movie Finding Nemo, play indoor soccer, jump on inflatables, or even play Poly Pong (a game resembling
King’s Corner).

Saturday morning brought many tired, woozy, but happy faces. Underneath all that snoring, I could definitely tell this campout was a Dynamix success! After all, it was probably the only chance to punch the Scoutmaster without getting in trouble.
