It’s time to get our gear in-gear for the year … and we need your help! We’ll even feed you some donuts early and a sandwich or some pizza around lunch in exchange for a little elbow grease and organizing. Not a bad deal!
What: Gear Cleanup & Reorganization
When: Saturday, August 23, 2014
Time: 7:00AM – Noon
We’ll meet at 7 AM sharp on Saturday, August 23rd, in the SCE (Spring Creek Elementary) parking lot if you want a ride or you can simply join us at the trailer yard. Please read your email for the location of the trailer yard.
It would be helpful to bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and some gloves; whatever you want to wear is fine, but it will likely get dirty. We will basically take everything out of The Beast (patrol boxes, stoves, etc.), clean it up, reallocate all the utensils, plates, cups, and supplies so there are equal amounts and types of items in each box, and then put them back. We’ll clean up the stoves and lanterns and generally get everything ready to go for the year.
We’ll aim to get it all wrapped up by Noon, so you can hit the pool or otherwise enjoy the rest of the day. Many hands make light work, so please join us – even if you can only make it for a few hours – we need your help.
P.S. Some of the grease may need to be removed with extreme prejudice!
